Disaster Relief for 2022 Cianjur Earthquake
In response to the devastating 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Cianjur on November 21, 2022, Bayan Peduli swiftly initiated a disaster relief program to alleviate the suffering of the victims. As an immediate response, we allocated approximately IDR1,000,000,000 worth of logistics aid consisting of essential supplies such as food staples, daily necessities, medicines, and temporary shelters. Beyond temporary relief, we donated one ambulance to the Cianjur Regency Government and built six water wells to ensure access to clean water for the affected residents.
BayRun for Charity 2023
Subsequent to varied charitable donations by Bayan group through its CSR program Bayan Peduli, Bayan Peduli collaborated with Pita Kuning Foundation, an organization that focuses on assisting children from underprivileged families who battle with cancer, held the first charity run event in Jakarta called “Bayrun for Charity 2023” with its tagline #Miles for Their Smile on November 26, 2023 at Plaza Barat GBK. Bayrun for Charity featured half marathon (21K), 10km, and 5km courses that were able to collect donations from 3.688 participants of approximately IDR 700 million. The number doubled with additional donation from President Director of Bayan Group, Mr. Dato’ Low Tuck Kwong, of total donation reaching up to IDR 1.4 billion which were fully donated and transferred directly to Pita Kuning Foundation.
